Automatic Jaguar knife in exotic Amboyna wood - Mikov
The first four models of Mikov automatic knives were introduced in 1989. Today, two decades later, you can choose from nearly 100 different varieties.
The exotic wood of amboyna or Kiaboca is considered one of the most beautiful ornamental woods. Its rich and capricious veins of reddish, pinkish-white or yellowish pattern intertwine in a multitude of fine knots that intersect in a thousand different ways.
The blades are made of top quality Damasteel
(HRc 60-61) made in Sweden. All knives feature a thicker coating, new modified or utility grind, stronger spring, improved leverage and are manufactured to tighter tolerances. The blades are mirror finished and numbered. All Mikov automatic knives are side opening, the blade is sharpened on one side only.
All Damascus knives have a back spring and a filed blade. Unlike other automatic knives, the firing spring (two firing springs in the new models) can be easily replaced. The spring can also be removed (cut in half) - this way you can turn the knife into a manual folding knife.
All knives come with quality leather sheaths.
About Mikov:
MIKOV is one of the oldest knife companies in the Czech Republic (former Czechoslovakia). Founded in 1794 by Ignac Rosler, it quickly became the leading producer of quality cutlery in its region. In the 19th century, the company had two factories - Sandrik and Koh-I-Noor.
In 1955, these two factories joined together and MIKOV was founded. Today, MIKOV is the largest cutlery company in the Czech Republic - a manufacturer of a wide variety of folding knives, fixed blades, kitchen cutlery, scissors and office equipment.
