The Sano series has inherited the tradition of the Japanese sword maker "Sengo Muramasa" in the blade shapes used.
The core is made of Japanese VG10 stainless steel manufactured by the steel manufacturer Takefu. It has a high carbon content (over 1%, 0.5% higher than standard steel), as well as a high cobalt content, with a remarkable hardness of 61 +/- 1 on the Rockwell scale.
In addition, because of its hardness, this steel will maintain a sharp blade over time, with the same cutting quality and edge retention. The core is then coated with a 33-layer damascus steel on both sides of the blade to further improve corrosion resistance.
The handle is made from a laminated epoxy resin, G10. This is a particularly strong material that does not absorb water or conduct electricity. This gives you maximum comfort and safety.
