Japanese Double Sided Sharpening Stone 120 / 1000 - Kanetsune
Coarse and medium grit (120 Grit and 1000 Grit) with non-slip backing. The #120 (coarse) stone is used for edge grinding and the #1000 (medium) stone is used for final honing. If you want to polish your blade afterwards, you can use the 3000 sharpening stone.
- The dark colored stone (#120 grit - coarse) is used to form an edge.
- The brown stone (#1000 - medium) is used to sharpen the edge.
Each stone comes with a non-slip base for tabletop use.
This water stone cannot sharpen kitchen knives with ceramic blades. It must be used for carbon steel or stainless steel blades. It also cannot sharpen kitchen knives with serrated or wavy blades.
It can also be used for damask kitchen knives.
